Linum has designed, developed and produced high quality textiles for more than 40 years. The company was founded in 1966 by Sven Kempe after he spent a period of time travelling in India. During his time there, he nurtured the idea of helping people to develop through their own work. Today, the desire to support the development in southern India and to combine this with the best of Swedish design is the foundation for Linum’s company culture and philosophy.

Since the beginning, Linum has worked on improving and ensuring that their production affects the environment and human beings as little as possible.

They believe, as we do, that protecting the environment requires a long-term strategy which is based on good long-term relationships. To this end, they only work with a handful of suppliers.

They are striving to improve production processes to ensure that their development is sustainable. Just recently they began using wind power as part of their energy use.
